New folk have taken over the Barbon Stores today (Sat 10th Aug). Jules and John want to make a success of their new venture (they ran the cheese shop in Kirkby Lonsdale). Jules has asked me to let you know that you are all welcome. They will be serving bacon butties, cake etc. In the winter they intend doing soup and baked potatoes. They are open every day.  Their telephone number is: 015242 76224

Happy cycling!

Cafe 27 in Burton-in-Lonsdale is now open and visiting cyclists are more than welcome. We offer home-made soups, toasties, fresh sandwiches, sausage and bacon butties and much more. Also specials which change from day to day.Our shop is community owned and run with the help of volunteers. The delicious cakes we sell are made by local bakers. Cafe opening hours are from 10 to 2pm, but outside these hours, unless the shop is very busy, a staff member or volunteer, will be able to make you a brew and cut a slice of cake. If you are a large group a phone call beforehand would be appreciated. Tel 015242 63397.
